Cyril Eštok, General Manager

I would like to greet all of our bulletin’s faithful readers — and especially new ones reading it for the first time. I hope you will absorb it from beginning to end.

Among other things, this issue has an interview with one of the line managers at our customer centre, David Tydlitat, who manages the Service business line. He heads up an army of experienced service professionals who, at all times, are ready to respond to our customers’ needs — in other words, your needs. It is definitely not easy, and David will tell you about that. I’ll also just add that David leads the largest group of people within our customer centre. This is a group of colleagues whose perfect operation is as essential to you, our customers, as to the company itself.

In this issue, we would like to recap the fruitful life of an important person in the history of Atlas Copco, Peter Wallenberg, whose work significantly contributed to the development of the Atlas Copco group. He left us three months ago. You can learn more about his life on page 4.

Traditionally, we introduce you to something new in the product portfolio. This time it will be the beveling tool GTB25.

Several of our customers agreed to share their experiences with the tools, the solutions and the service that my colleagues delivered to them. We will look at how we were able to optimize processes at Nexteer.
We will also look at how Danfoss, in Slovenia, and Sitech, in Poland use the latest technology.

At Atlas Copco, we often say that people come first, but in fact, they are the life of the company. We will be showing you how we seek out talent and how we recognize loyal, faithful employees.

At the end of each issue, we traditionally show you one of the countries we consider home. We know the market well, and there you always find somebody close to Atlas Copco. We’ll take a closer look at Bulgaria, a land of sun, wine, sea and good food. I could definitely tell you more about the great things you’ll find in Bulgaria, but my character count is running out. So, I’ll leave it to you to read about it.

I hope you find this issue a pleasant, useful read. Sincerely, Cyril
